Apollo Group TV on a Firestick

The Firestick needs one thing before the player goes on: permission to install an app from outside Amazon's store. One minute, done once.

Get Downloader

  1. 1.On the Fire TV home screen, go to Find and then Search.
  2. 2.Type Downloader and select it.
  3. 3.Choose the orange icon and press Get.

Allow Downloader to install apps

The switch lives in one of two places depending on the stick.

  1. 1.Recent sticks: Settings, My Fire TV, About. Highlight the Fire TV Stick line, press the select button seven times, go back one screen, open Developer Options and turn on Install unknown apps for Downloader.
  2. 2.Older sticks: Settings, My Fire TV, Developer Options, and switch on Apps from Unknown Sources.
Note. No Developer Options showing? The seven presses on the About screen make it appear. Amazon hid it in an update.

Type the app address from your WhatsApp message into Downloader and let it install. Any of these three:

Choose the Xtream Codes login and enter the username, password and server address from your message. The channels and the guide load by themselves.

Prefer an app store? An Android box or Chromecast takes the same players from the Play Store, and a Roku or a Samsung or LG TV runs one with nothing plugged in. Check the channel list before you start.
